Beautiful property in rural surroundings, on the southern side of the old capital of the island. The ground floor of the main building was originally used by the military to store arms, towards the end of the Habsburgs dynasty in Spain. The keystone of the vaulted ceiling shows the coat of arms with its two-headed eagle, and with its thick walls the central nave is an ideal place to sit in the cool during the height of summer.
During the middle of the XIX century, Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria refers to this outstanding building in his memoirs "Die Balearen". It stands proudly on an immense expanse of productive land, more than 40 hectares of pasture, and has its own well, mains electricity supply and various agricultural buildings. The ground floor has almost been completely renovated, displaying the traditional four-point and barrel vaulted limestone ceilings. The first floor and mezzanines, are yet to be refurbished, have spectacular views out to see the sea, as far as Mallorca on a clear day. Various outbuildings, a working bread oven and a large cave.
Garden with swimming pool, sunbathing terraces and trees providing a delicious shade in the summer, areas to relax and enjoy throughout the year. Spacious lock up for storage or other uses.
Come and experience the authentic Menorca in this magnificent finca, rare to find in the current real estate market.
