Object info
There was a time when the local people from Mahón enjoyed their
free time in the coves close to the city, and here we have a property in
one of them, the adorable cove of Es Murtar. As a popular folk song tells,
the neighbours had no farms or horses to gallop on, but they waited
impatiently for Saturday to come so they could escape to their beloved
cove, where they could spend the weekend, put their llauts in the sea and
go fishing. It was a time for families to come together and prepare local
dishes which in time has raised Menorcan gastronomy to another level.
Even though over time many things have changed, this idyllic part of the
island pretty much remains the same, somewhere to escape to for complete
peace and tranquility, somewhere to disconnect and enjoy authentic Menorca
with the locals and visitors alike. The house itself enjoys a privileged
location, up high looking out over the sea. With some 100 m², it
offers a living/dining room, kitchen, three double bedrooms and a
bathroom. Large terrace which is the prefect spot to sit and contemplate
the views, and a rear patio. Separate to the house there is also an
additional room on the ground, formerly used as a garage, now used as a
guest space. Small piece of land next to the road, ideal for parking.
The house would benefit from some updating, but here you are investing in
a piece of the Island, a lifestyle, an experience, an opportunity to
become part of this local community.
