Real estate taxes rating in Spain

According to the General Economic Council, every citizen in Spain will pay on average € 315 for property taxes. But this figure varies depending on the region of the country. The highest tax rates are in Madrid, Leon and Castellón. In these regions people will have to pay over € 400. In Tarragona and Barcelona the property taxes are almost the same - € 398. As for Segovia, Ciudad Real, Lleida property taxes exceed € 350 per year, whereas in Soria, Cádiz, Oviedo, Santander, Gerona, Salamanca, Toledo will have to pay less than €350 per year. In Huesca this figure just slightly exceeds € 300. If you have property in Valencia, you will have to pay about €290, in Murcia - €277, in Palma - €273, Alicante - €261. The lowest property taxes are in Ceuta. Here you will pay just €87.
