Housing in Spain increased in price by 8.2%
In 2018, the highest growth rate of property prices for the last decade was observed in Spain. The property prices jumped by 8.2% comparing with the 2017 figures.
The positive growth trend has been observed in the Spanish real estate market since 2014. The today’s property prices have grown by 30% if to compare with the lowest crisis prices.
Over 516,000 property transactions were made in Spain in 2018. It was the first time since 2008 when the number of transactions reached 500,000. Experts expect that this growth trend will continue in 2019.
The percentage of transactions made by foreigners is 12.7% and 16.6% of them were made by the British residents, 7.7% - by Germans, 7.4% - the French, 5.8% - by the Belgians, 5.1% - by Italians, and 5% - by the Swedes.
