What will happen to the residential property in Spain in 2018

The Spanish residential real estate sector has started a new cycle that should increase the average annual growth in the number of home sales transactions by 20 percent.
According to experts, positive trends became noticeable back in January, when sales of houses and apartments increased by 26.6%, triggering a 2% rise in prices. Particular revival was observed in the segment of secondary real estate - we are talking about both apartments and houses. It is also interesting that banks have increased the number of mortgage clients - during the first month of 2016, 11884 people took out a loan of this type. As for the segment of new housing, then, according to the international consulting company CBRE, this year in Spain, developers will hand over from 60,000 to 65,000 objects. The same analysts argue that in general, housing may rise in price by more than 5%, and this trend will be most noticeable in Madrid and Barcelona. According to Heriberto Teruel, director of corporate finance at CBRE in Spain, the coming year 2016 will be an "interesting" year in terms of investments in residential real estate in Spain, as prices for it have already reached the lowest level, and currently the largest markets of the country are observed positive trends: both the number of transactions and the price of land are increasing, and in certain areas there are significant increases due to the lack of suitable plots for construction
